I use this knife daily for vegetable and fresh herb chopping, for slicing meats and fruit.  I've owned the knife for well over a year and have not noticed any reduction in blade sharpness -- it's still razor sharp!  For a knife that gets well used daily, that's amazing.  The ergonomic handle and balance is excellent as well. I bought this knife for a friend who had very dull metal knifes at her home.  She loves this Kyocera knife now too!

Purchased this knife for my grandparents and they love it. They have been complaining about not having a sharp knife in the kitchen for some time, but this knife change all that.
I do caution that the blade of the knife is fragile so unnecessary force applied to harder objects have result in the knife blade chipping. The nature of ceramic knives I believe.
Other than that an amazing product and will be buying more in the future

A friend recently introduced me to Kyocera cutlery. I will never go back! This knife is incredibly sharp and I can honestly say I haven't ever had anything of its caliber. I use it daily and recommend it as a gift to anyone who loves to cook or just for yourself. It makes meal prep enjoyable.

This knife is super sharp, easy to handle, and slices through boneless meat and vegetables like they are air.  This is my go to knife for prepping meals.   I would definitely recommend.

Definitely NOT a knife to cut cheese, ONLY veggies, fruits, and unboned meats.  

I cut some cheese one of the first times I used the knife and the blade chipped badly.  An $80 knife down the tubes!!!
