I could give more than 5 stars, but not sure if anything is that perfect. I use these for everything except slicing bread. I have another serrated knife for that. Well-built, nice balance and comfortable to use. The shears are nice, too.  I never put a good knife in a dishwasher. I clean them right after use as I do with all good knives- kitchen, hunting, fillet, etc. and they keep an edge. Sharpen once or twice a year and an occasional light honing before use keeps them that way. I don't anticipate having to replace them for a LONG time, if ever. You can pay hundreds more for a set and some are great knives but they're no better than a cheap set if you don't take care of them. These are a pleasure to use
